My name is Caitie, and I am a fourth year pharmacy major and theology minor here at St. John’s University. I am from a rural town in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Coming from a rural town, NYC was a huge cultural shock for me. However, I absolutely love the diversity that St. John’s offers. I now have friends of all different cultural backgrounds and faiths.

Wafels and Dinges
September 24, 2012
The waffle truck, aka “Wafels and Dinges” truck comes to St. John’s University every Monday. I live and dread for these days. Oh, the waffle truck and I have a love-hate relationship. I love love love the waffles; however, they do not love me as much. On Mondays, I have an hour break from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Why not use this break to have a yummy, delicious, homemade waffle??? I cannot ever find the willpower to argue with myself about this. So without fail, every Monday morning, I have a waffle. And so, I could handle that. What’s wrong with having a nice waffle every week?
Well…it is because the waffles have UNLIMITED TOPPINGS. Did I mention delicious toppings, such as nutella, spekulos (their special spread—think gingerbread), bananas, strawberries, fudge, whipped cream, walnuts, ice cream, and more)?! So the point of this story is I normally try to eat healthy on campus, and with St. John’s, there are numerous dining options. However, I do allow myself this weekly delectable indulgence.
